During the fall 2020 semester, options on campus will be limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students on campus have access to the Wood Dining Commons, Java Joe, and the General's Quarters. Students also have access to BiteU, our mobile ordering app for pick-up orders!

Over the past several months, our team has worked to adapt to the ever changing conditions presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Your safety is our #1 priority.

What you can expect:

  • Plexiglass barriers in dining areas.
  • Social distancing measures in place.
  • Physical barriers and guides.
  • Modified layouts and procedures.
  • Reduced capacity.
  • Floor markings to maintain 6ft from others.

Please look for dining employees, supervisors, and managers throughout our dining locations who will be stationed to help you navigate and to answer your questions.

For the Wood Dining Commons, we ask you to keep in mind:

  • Please always maintain 6ft distance.
  • Once you are in the food gallery, please follow signs to get to the restaurant you want. There will be dining employees stationed to help direct traffic.
  • Download BiteU to know what’s on the menu ahead of time! The “menu” tab will show what’s on the menu, while the “order” tab shows what’s available for pick-up.
  • You can also use BiteU to order ahead of time for pick-up. The pick-up location for the Wood Dining Commons is on the lower level of Seegers Union, outside of the main dining office.
  • Each pathway in the Wood Dining Commons is one-way only.
  • If you are dining in, it is recommended that you get your beverage before you sit down.
  • During peak meal times, the event space is open for dining. Signs will let you know if it is open.
  • Each seat has a circular table card on it. If the card is turned to the green side, it is clean, sanitized, and ready for you to sit. Please help us keep seats clean by turning the card to the red side before you leave.
  • To exit the Wood Dining Commons, please exit using the door closest to the dish return.
For the General's Quarters, we ask you to keep in mind:
  • Please always maintain 6ft distance.
  • Once you are in the servery, please follow signs to get to the restaurant you want. There will be a dining employee at the entrance of the GQ to help direct traffic.
  • Cyclone Salads will not be open for this semester. However, to-go salads will be available in the grab & go section.
  • Each seat has a circular table card on it. If the card is turned to the green side, it is clean, sanitized, and ready for you to sit. Please help us keep seats clean by turning the card to the red side before you leave.
  • Each pathway in the General’s Quarters is one-way only.
  • You can also use BiteU to order ahead of time for pick-up. The pick-up location for the General’s Quarters is along the red Muhlenberg signature wall.

BiteU is our new dining app! It tells you what's on the menu in the Wood Dining Commons. Through the app, you are also able to order the Wood Dining Commons, Java Joe, and the General's Quarters for pick-up. You can even pay using your meal plan

Pick-up locations:

  • The Wood Dining Commons pick-up is on the lower level of Seegers - outside the dining office.
  • Java Joe pick-up is next to the Java Joe counter.
  • The General's Quarters pick-up is along the red signature wall in Seegers Union.
Download BiteU today in google play or in the apple store.
Only students will be able to access the Wood Dining Commons. However, faculty and staff members will be able to order from the Wood Dining Commons using our new BiteU (Bite for Universities) mobile app.

With BiteU, you will be able to place mobile orders for the Wood Dining Commons, the GQ, and/or the Java Joe for pick-up using Berg Bucks or credit/debit.

Faculty & staff members will have access to the General's Quarters servery as well as Java Joe for in-person orders.
Swipes are part of your meal plan. One swipe gets you a full meal in the Wood Dining Commons. Swipes do not roll over from fall to spring.

Dining dollars are part of your meal plan, while Berg Bucks are not. Dining dollars are available in the Gold and Platinum memberships, but they are not available in the Traditional membership. Dining dollars can be used at any dining location on campus including Java Joe and the General's Quarters.

Berg Bucks are not part of any meal plan, and are optional. The ’Berg Bucks program provides students with added flexibility and convenience! Independent of meal plans, ’Berg Bucks may be applied toward purchases at on-campus dining venues, the ’Berg Bookshop and campus laundry machines in major residence halls. ’Berg Bucks are a great way to supplement any meal plan!

The Noshery is an integrated kosher facility within the Wood Dining Commons at Muhlenberg College. It houses a separate kosher meat kitchen under Star-K Certification and kosher dairy kitchen under Star-D Certification. A Mashgiach Temidi is on the premises during all hours of operations. Every meal is served on disposable plates with flatware. Both kosher kitchens feature menus predicated on fresh ingredients and scratch-made recipes. Classics including Matzah Ball Soup are available everyday at Noshery South (Star-K certified Kosher Meat Restaurant) while daily features such as Falafel and Grilled Cheese can be found at Noshery North (Star-D certified Kosher Dairy Restaurant). The Noshery is part of the Wood Dining Commons, an all-you-care-to-eat facility that features 6 other restaurants.

We also offer a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian options every day. Additionally, our employees are trained on food safety and food allergies on a regular basis.
